Swooshed Ltd use Absen LED at product showcase event

CHALLENGE

Swooshed Ltd are an event production company who specialise in high end corporate event production and supply clients with technical solutions for their events. They were looking to expand their AV display offering and wanted to demonstrate their new technical solutions for events to their customers.

Swooshed held a product showcase event and invited customers to attend at Dorney Lake, Windsor, to see a range of products on display including projection, large format and video wall. In particular, Swooshed wanted to demonstrate the powerful versatility of Absen’s range of LED for rental.

WHAT WE DID

PSCo worked with Swooshed to provide 40 panels of the award winning Absen M2.9, 2.9mm LED, set up in a 4m x 2.5m (8 x 5 panels) LED wall.  PSCo also supplied Swooshed with their bespoke ground stack mounting solution, and supported them on the build and de-rig, utilising the PSCo technical team.

The venue had high ambient light with windows on both sides of where the wall was set up, however, due to Absen’s high brightness output, the screen could still compete with the bright environment, even turned down to only 30%.

James Fickling, Director at Swooshed, commented on the use of M2.9 at the event: “PSCo did a great job installing and setting up the wall. Due to its well-designed system it went together really quickly and neatly.

“Attendees of the event presumed the LED wall was set up to 4k resolution as the image was so good. The picture quality was stunning.”

The event was a great success, and Swooshed have since worked with PSCo on two further LED projects off the back of this event.

RESULT

PSCo have since assisted Swooshed on a project at Manchester Central. A 6m x 3.5m A3 Pro, 3.9mm wall was set up using 84 panels and flown from truss.

“In such a large venue the 3.9mm was the perfect pixel pitch as you had the viewing distance, and it was really competitive on price,” continued James Fickling, “The screen looked great against a black background to produce a powerful impact.”

PSCo also created a whopping 7.5m x 4m LED wall at Hawker House using 120 panels of the 3.9mm LED to create a high impact display used for the backdrop of the event.
