Absen wins Entertainment & Live Events technology of the year 

February 2019 – Absen, the leading global LED brand, has won the award for Best Technology for Entertainment & Live Events with its Polaris range of rental products. The InAVation Awards, which took place on the first night of ISE on 5^th February 2019 at the iconic Gashouder venue in Amsterdam, recognise the best technologies, projects and people from across the global audio-visual industry. 

Absen’s Polaris LED series, which was first launched at ISE 2018, is packed with the latest innovations to meet the physical and visual demands of the live event and entertainment community. Absen Polaris offers ultra-high brightness and contrast levels, while ultra-wide viewing angles, superior colour and HDR (high dynamic range) support the perfect visual display performance. Mechanical advances including auto-lock, auto-eject and fast-switch curve locking systems simplify and speed up the installation and operating process, whilst technical advances such as HBB (High Brightness Black) common cathode technology delivers a superior experience for end users.

Specifically developed to meet the demands of narrow pixel pitch (NPP) LED in live event rental applications, Polaris has quickly become the product of choice for many of the most world’s prominent rental staging companies. The new series encompasses 10 models ranging from 2.5 to 6.9mm pixel pitch to fit all rental staging needs. The series is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
